About us<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

We are a museum that focuses mainly on art glass. The history of our \nmuseum is almost a hundred years. Art glass has its origins in \u017delezn\u00fd \nBrod, a small town in the north of the Czech Republic. The artists \nLibensk\u00fd, Brychtov\u00e1, for example, worked here. Our museum exhibits a \ncollection of their extensive glass sculptures. We have many interesting\n exhibits in our collections. Currently, the museum is undergoing \nextensive reconstruction. We will be opening on March 1, 2024. The goal \nof the new museum will be to make the museum accessible to a large \nnumber of visitors. Our museum team wants to expand relationships with \nforeign glassmakers and experts. We are cooperating with the High \nSchool of Art and Glass, co-organizing a glass symposium and regularly \nenriching our art glass collection with new exhibits.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

What we offer<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

We are primarily looking for glass artists who would be interested in \nparticipating in the glass symposia that are held every year in early \nSeptember. Among our symposium participants are such personalities of \nglass art as Lhotsk\u00fd, Exnar, Plesl, etc. This year we organized the \ntwelfth year of the symposium. In recent years, our symposium has taken \non an international format. We have hosted artists from Norway, Poland \nand Slovakia. We would like to invite artists from other European \ncountries as well. As part of our efforts, we are working on the \nCreative Europe project, which will pay for most of the costs of \norganizing the symposium and the artists‘ fees.
