Design ideas were driven by the need to balance arts and crafts with the demands of industrial mass production.
The demand for handmade designer glasses continues even after the traditional glass industry has ceased. Production takes place abroad, but also in Danish studio glass workshops. The combination of material, craftsmanship and art on Bornholm results in cooperation, for example between glass makers and chefs for table service in exclusive restaurants.
