American freedom combined with European craftsmanship, design, and conceptual art.<\/p><p><\/p><p>In 1962, Harvey K. Littleton and Dominik Labino tried out simple, gas-fired studio glass stoves in Toledo in order to make glass independently of the glassworks association.
