Glassmaker, glass cutter, artist, businessman * 1983 in Chřibská (CZ)
Zdenĕk Kunc has been associated with glass since he was a child in Chřibská, a Czech city with a long glassworking tradition. After completing his training at the Glass School in Nový Bor (CZ), he wandered through Central and Western Europe for a few years. On the way with a backpack with tools, he worked in glass studios and glassworks in the Czech Republic, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden and India.
Rich in international experience in glass making and grinding, Zdenĕk Kunc taught back in Nový Bor from 2008 at the glass technical school. In 2016 he opened his own workshop in Radvanec (CZ). Alone or in a team, he creates free-form art objects and handicrafts. He is still on the road a lot thanks to international exhibitions and a mobile oven for performances and workshops.
