About us

The Glass Furnace is Turkey’s largest and best-equipped glass and art center. Between the shore of the Riva river, and green forests, the campus has a creative and serene atmosphere.
To be the center of all the glass related works and make glass art one of the basic art branches in our country, in this sense is within the scope of various activities. The Glass Furnace, which was originally designed as a glass studio but soon became a world-class glass center, continues its uninterrupted training and production activities.
The Glass Furnace, where it has a glass collection including examples from contemporary glass, takes care to realize its education and production activities in the most creative, ecient and eective way possible. Field trips with elementary and middle schools, special shows, new year and spring festivals, daily, weekly workshops and tours are organized, for the curious visitors all year round.

What we offer

Operations at The Glass Furnace include daily workshops, two-week intensive workshops, glass blowing
demonstrations and exhibitions. The Glass Furnace has hosted more than 130 international glass artists since 2000
for two-week intensive courses. Many of these artists came back to teach more than once. The number of the
participants for these workshops reached 1,300 so far.
From time to time The Glass Furnace oers residency programs and studio’s can be rented through out the year
with or without a gaer team. The accommodation option provides a quiet and peaceful working space.
